What’s been happening since I posted last? Well, Father’s day, of course. Our sons posted nice words on FB to their Dad. I had a little chuckle when I thought of the stand up arguments they used to have when they were younger. But they’re all men together now . That’s nice.
And the footie! All the programmes disrupted. TV hogged with gleeful shouts or mournful sighs depending on who is winning on the night. Did I say night? Night, day 247!
Anyway what else happened this week? Invitation to to a book launch on Wednesday; wine and cheese and lovely poetry readings. And on the way there had a lovely meal and day out and with my sister. I don’t like to offend her but I always want to say,” You don’t need to hold my hand anymore when I cross the road. She always did when we were small. But, sure, no harm if she still does, is there?
Oh, and I must apologise for the font size on the last post. Not sure what happened. It was eye watering BIG. I tried to edit it but as you have guessed– still learning the functions of the wordpress.
But (see that? Breaking all the rules of grammar I got thumped into me at school. NEVER start a sentence with but or and – never mind – don’t think ‘them teachers what taught me’ are not on here.
What was i going to say? Oh, yes, I hope you like the pics/images. Nobody will get any peace now. It’s smile this way. Even our dog is not exempt. But she’s a spaniel – a female spaniel – and she loves getting her picture taken. Haven’t asked her permission to put it on the blog yet. I’m sure she’ll not mind. An extra biscuit and hug should do it.
Until the next time
Every day is a gift – even during the footie
