I’ve lost my Dashboard boxes
I have lost some things in my time. I’ve lost keys, glassed and pieces of jewellery. I even lost my lovely new stylish coat on the Ferry one time but never have I lost my dashboard boxes.
Well, it happened like this. It started simple enough. I wrote a short story, edited it, spell checked it – checked the font size and the formatting was just right. I jubilantly searched my page for the elusive short story categories – nothing was to be found. I tried another way. I clicked the dropdown menu on the no parent attribute expecting to see the short story categories that had been there all along jump out at me but it was not to be found.
What to do?
I check the category menu – still there – still in the sidebar – everywhere on my blog BUT not in the pages where my short story was sitting waiting in anticipation of being post and hopefully its debut appearance on my Facebook page.
Should I make another category be my story’s parent?
I could use Guest Artists category but I am not a guest – I am the administrator of my blog. Well maybe I could log my story under the Art-Tickle category but that is for funny, funny peculiar slight off the main track kind of writing. My story was good – but just a story.
It had to be posted. In the end I put it under the title of another short story called Mickey’s Strange Auction Cat.
Now Micky is parent to a child called short story he hasn’t even known he fathered!
Worse still I now have TWO problems. No short story category in my dropdown menu and my lovely dashboard looks so bleak and forlorn with only blank spaces.
Calling all you WordPress.Com uses – come to my aid – before I do anymore injuries to my poor hardworking writeyouwriteme .com blog
PLEASE
