Memories In The flames
Sitting by the fireside
My thoughts strayed away
To days when Martha sat there
Nursing on her knee
Our firstborn son Calum James
I wiped a tear away
Oh how we were happy then
Her and me and him
I shifted in my seat
Face reddened by the heat
Feet cold as the ice inside my veins
I wish I had those days again
Turf sparkin’ off the grate
Sitting by the fire
In our peaceful glade
Calum James playing round our feet.
